Kastellos (Rethymno) is a delightful, traditional village in the heart of Crete,  that gives you access to all sides of the island, facilitating your explorations, and enjoying a unique environment with an excellent climate. The property is set at the side of the village, with marvelous views across the rooftops of the neighboring village of Armeni, and across the valley to the mountains. By staying here, one can experience tranquility, interrupted only by the sounds of nature. Watching the mountain turning purple during sunset and the moon rising over the valley is a magical and unforgettable experience.

The villa can accommodate up to 10 persons (200m2), with 4 bedrooms and rooms that connect with one another (without doors), following the primary shape of the house, with maximum respect of its original architectural style, before the total renovation of 2003. There are 2 inside bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi), and a third wc outside, next to the swimming pool. 

The villa has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room with a fireplace and TV featuring  NETFLIX, DVD, and CD player.

Art Villa Kastellos, organizes art events, art courses, thematic weeks, and events.  At the villa, one finds original works of art, created by the owner as well as many other greek and international artists. The villa also, sometimes, hosts short-time exhibitions that the customers can enjoy, as well as art events and workshops.

For our young friends (…and adults), you’ll find toys, games, books, music, and movies. In Italian, English, and Greek language. The house is not the best place for babes under 2 years old because of its layers and stairs, but we can provide all necessary upon request.

There is a big private garden, swimming pool with a great view, many different levels equipped with couches, a big wooden dining table under the pergola and private parking for 4 cars. In the garden, you find many herbs available for you to use for cooking. There is also a  fully equipped BBQ,   and plenty of space around it, where you can enjoy perfect family and friend evenings. All rooms have private balconies with a stunning view of the surrounding hills.

Free Wi-Fi is included.

The capacity may be extended, on request.

Changing of linen/towels and all cleaning services are made once a week and are included.

Private Chef of local cuisine is offered exclusively for our guests, on request.

La villa può ospitare da 7 a 10 persone in un’area di 200m2, con 4 camere da letto senza porte, camere che vengono l’una dall’altra, seguendo la forma primaria della casa nel rispetto del suo stile architettonico originale prima della ristrutturazione totale nel 2003. Ci sono anche 2 bagni uno con vasca idromassagio. La casa è molto ampia e ha una cucina completamente attrezzata, sala da pranzo e soggiorno con camino. TV con lettore DVD / home cinema e lettore CD. La casa ospita opere d’arte originali del proprietario, così come molti altri artisti, greci e stranieri. Per i nostri giovani amici (… e adulti), troverai giocattoli, giochi, libri, musica e film. In italiano, inglese e greco. La casa non è il posto migliore per ragazze sotto i 2 anni a causa dei suoi strati e scale, ma su richiesta possiamo fornire tutto il necessario. All’esterno c’è un grande giardino privato, con parcheggio e aree relax. C’è una zona barbecue con tutto ciò di cui ha bisogno, dove sarete in grado di organizzare le vostre grigliate, per assicurarvi di trascorrere serate familiari e amichevoli con tavolo da pranzo all’aperto, sotto il pergolato di legno. Balconi privati ​​sono in tutte le camere, con una vista mozzafiato sulle colline. La connessione Wi-Fi è inclusa. La capacità può essere estesa, su richiesta. Cambio di biancheria / asciugamani e tutti i servizi di pulizia sono fatti uno alla settimana, e sono inclusi. La proprietà è situata sul lato del villaggio, con meravigliose viste sui tetti del villaggio di Armeni e lontano attraverso la valle fino alle montagne. Stando qui, si può sentire la naturale tranquillità mentre la scena è completata dall’atmosfera chiara e trasparente e dai suoni della natura. Guardare la montagna diventare viola durante il tramonto e la luna che sorge sopra la valle è un’esperienza indimenticabile.
